MC field hockey posts second win, drops Chambersburg

Back in the win column!

The Mifflin County field hockey team won in dramatic fashion Tuesday as they were able to outlast Chambersburg in “Sudden Victory” overtime, 2-1.

Chambersburg got on the board first with a goal in the first quarter.

The Lady Huskies dominated the game posting 24 shots on goal and nine penalty corners compared to Chambersburg’s  eight shots and four penalty corners.

In the second half with 2: 21 left in the game, Jayda kanagy put the ball in the cage off an assist from Addie Fultz. The Kanagy goal would send the two teams into overtime. During the 7v7 sudden victory overtime, Kanagy got the call again as she scored again off an assist from Lyza Underhill to win the game.
