MC rolls over the Bison in field hockey action

On a roll.

The Mifflin County field hockey team is back and better than ever as they win once again, shutting out Carlisle 5-0 in Monday afternoon action.

Hailee Sheetz led the team offensively, finishing with the hat trick en route to the victory.

The Lady Huskies exploded for 19 shots on goal while its defense held the Bison to only one shot at Mifflin County goalie Coletta Beeler.

Mifflin County also held a strong advantage in the corner department by a 10-0 mark.

Fresh off a pass from teammate Jordi Attick, Sheetz picked up the first goal of the game at the 27:16 mark.

With just 1:14 left in the first, emotional team leader and spark plug for the Huskies, Keni Kahley blasted one home, thanks to a pass from Lydia Hidlay.

Hidlay ended the game with two assists.

In the second half, Mifflin County continued to dominate the paint as it started early with another goal by Sheetz at the 23:34 mark thanks to an assist by Alyssa Lynch.

It was a deja vue moment for the tandem of Kahley and Hidlay as they connected again on a goal, this time there was 6:22 left.

Sheetz book ended the game with posting the last goal with 1:38 left.

In the JV game, Mifflin County won 2-0.

Mifflin County will be back in action at home Tuesday.
