Mifflin County 13s bring out the bats in 15-2 win over Broomall/Newtown

Rolling right along!

After two early wins in the Babe Ruth 13-year old all-star tournament the team from Mifflin County continues to March on without a scratch as they brought out the bats in a 15-2 shelling of Broomall/Newtown Monday morning.

After an early delay that pushed the game back from its original 8:30 start, Mifflin County was more than anxious to get out and continue its undefeated streak.

Logan Ruth led the offensive attack as he belted four hits and finished with four RBIs.

Reese Christine also swung a sizzling bat as he also brought in four runs.

Teammates Madden Weaver and Noah Parkes both finished with three hits each.

On the mound, Mifflin County got strong outings from Chase Leister who went four innings with two strikeouts and three inning from Austin McKnight who struck out three on his time on the mound.

With the win, it moves Mifflin County one step closer to a chance at moving on to Regionals.
