Mifflin County battles to the wire against Milton Hershey

They left it all on the field!

Friday night, the Mifflin County Huskies battled Milton Hershey for then entire contest, losing in heartbreaking fashion 33-30.

The Huskies got the game off and running posting the first points of the game.

Jared Lyons 48-yd pass to Isaac Wilson. With the PAT, Isaac Parks-Gill kick was good at 10:26.

But back came Milton Hershey with an answer when Dion Bryant scampered for an 88-yard touchdown run. The 2-point conversion try was no good at 10:12.

Dion Bryant put Milton Hershey ahead for the first time via a 12-yard run.

Again, the 2-point try was no good. 5:12.

Back roared the Huskies when Deakon Schaeffer put Mifflin County back ahead with a 7-yard TD run. Parks-Gill kick is good, making it a 14-12 advantage with 4:01 showing on the clock.

A few minutes later Mifflin County added to its lead when Lyons rambled on a 28-yard pass to Wilson. The Huskies PAT was unsuccessful at 3:47.

For the first time all year, Mifflin County had the lead going into the intermission, leading 20-12.

Coming out of the break, the visitors tied the contest at 20 when Bryant scored on a 79-yard pass to Xyshon Lewis- Edwards. This time the 2-point conversion was successful at 11:10.

But the Huskies weren’t going to let this phase them as the went back to and right to it when Lyons 77-yard pass to Wilson. Kick is good. 2:24.

Things started to heat up in the final stanza.

Going into the final stanza, the tension was heating up as the Huskies took the lead 11:10.

Parks- Gill blasted out a 20-yard field goal at 11:10.

Milton Hershey cut it to 30-27 when Bryant threw a 17-yard pass to Jayvyn Nimley. Their 2-point conversion try is good at 6:05.

Minutes later Milton Hershey jumped ahead on the board thanks to a 57-yard interception return for TD by number but the 2-point conversion was no good, at 4:25.
