The Bulldogs struck again late in the first quarter as Drew Shank made a run to the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown run.

Allen Colyer scored the extra point to make it 14-0.

Mifflin County finally got on the board in the beginning of the second quarter as Josiah Sechler threw a deep bomb to Fletcher Wilson for the touchdown to make it 14-7.

But the Bulldogs responded real quick, as Chase Mitchell broke loose for a 50-yard touchdown run before Brandon Beers drove in the extra point giving Burnham a 21-7.

Jayden King made a strong move to the end zone with a big run of his own scoring a 50-yard touchdown. However the Burnham defense came through as Mifflin County tried to score a two point conversation but failed to do some.

The Huskies came out the gates swinging at the start of the second half as Sechler scored a 30-yard touchdown run and then Mifflin County completed the 2-point conversion to even the game at 21 apiece.

Burnham did not let that discourage them as they answered with a 55-yard touchdown run by Etana Schmitz and an extra point from Amber Geedy to make it 28-21 Bulldogs.

Then in the fourth quarter David Fye got the ball and hustled his way through the Mifflin County defense to score a 45-yard run. Chris Alters scored the extra point to make it 35-21 Bulldogs.

The Huskies though battled their way back as King found Sechler with a touchdown pass to cut the lead down to 35-28.

Then Mifflin County pulled off an onside kick and managed to grab ahold of the ball to take possession. The Huskies onside kick paid off as they managed to score again to tie the game 35-35 with just under 20 seconds remaining in the game.

Then a big play occurred, the Bulldogs were able to get a play off before time expired as Fye received the ball and slipped out on the outside and rushed a massive 75-yard run to put the game away.

Congrats to the Burnham Bulldogs.
