NC state’s Trent Hidlay wins National Collegiate Open
Former PIAA State Champion Mifflin County’s Trent Hidlay finished his redshirt season in fine fashion.
Hidlay, who wrestles for North Carolina State has just won the National Collegiate Open in Smyrna, DE.
In the quarters, he defeated Conner Doyle from Navy by a tech fall, 21-3.
He kept things going in the semis as he rolled to a 13-5 win over Michael Battista, Virginia.
In the Finals he captures the title with a 10-3 over Victor Marcelli, of Virginia.
Trent finished his Redshirt season with a record of 24-2.
