Reed: Lady Huskies fall to CD

LEWISTOWN – The Lady Huskies softball team opened their season at home against Central Dauphin.
Early on, it was all Central Dauphin routing the Huskies at home 13-1.
Kayla Fletcher started off the game with a lead off single on a 3-2 pitch.
Maddie Paul walked. Allie Wenrich would follow, with a single to left field. The bats were loud for the lady Rams.
Mifflin County combined seven free passes via the base on balls.
Central Dauphin tallied 13 hits. The Rams doubled the same hit total as they did in runs with 13 runs spoiling the Huskies hopes of a win in front of the home crowd.
Huskies Ava Baker recorded a hit in her first at bat.
Henry doubled during her first at bat ,the senior, put Mifflin County in scoring position for the first time in the game in the home half of the first inning.
The Lady Huskies could only push across one run that came from a groundout fielder’s choice from senior Grace Paez Davoli, Baker would score on the play.
Stella Gasper gave her team a strong outing going three innings allowing two hits in the three inning Gasper held Mifflin County scoreless.
Central Dauphin would top Mifflin County, defeating the Huskies 13-1. “We need to improve in every aspect of the game to hitting to the mental side,” said Mifflin County coach Craig Weston.
