Rockets spoil MIfflin County’s last regular season game

LEWISTOWN – It was a tough outing for the MIfflin County baseball team on Monday as they went up against a very tough James Buchanan team.


The Huskies offense was held in check in the contest, posting only five hits in the contest.

Posting hits for the Huskies were Ryan Kanagy, Xavier Smith, Calin McKnight, Farrell Souders and Grady Hoppel.

The Rockets jumped out to a 3-0 advantage with a run in the first and two in the second.

Mifflin County got on the board in the third.

Souders started off the inning with a single.

Kanagy followed with a walk, putting runners on first and second.


After the Rockets posted a double play, allowing Souders to advance to third, Xavier Woods hit a blooping single into right, scoring Souders.

But the night belonged to James Buchanan added four uncontested runs, ending the contest with a 7-1 win.

Mifflin County finished the regular season with a very impressive 13-6 record.
