Rolling right along; MCJH girls varsity soccer wins again

The roll the Mifflin County Girls junior high soccer team is on is one of legendary status.

Again, the Lady Huskies rolled to another victory, this time it was an 8-0 victory over Big Springs.

Mifflin County placed 25 shots on goal while Bug Springs had only two.

Goalie Bailey McNitt was perfect once again in goal.

Picking up goals on the afternoon were a who’s who of the team’s talented scorers.

Leading off the night was Brynn Knepp on an assist from Aubrey Strohecker at 7:17.

Next, Strohecker tickled the twine, sailing a blast past the Big Spring goalie on a penalty kick opportunity. At the 9:44 mark.

Strohecker, who finished with yet another hat trick, notched her second goal on an unassisted blast, making it 3-0 at 12:30.

Picking up the hat trick, Strohecker notched goal number three thanks to a pass from Ella Kammerer.

At 31:11, Strohecker hit her fourth and final goal on the day from a hook up from teammate Sara Henry.

Knepp took on step closer to her own hat trick made it 6-0 as she notched an unassisted goal at 31:48.

Henry got into the action when she picked up a pass from Katie Bickhart and punched it in at 39:24.

Henry secured the hat trick in the final minutes of the contest en route to the 8-0 shut out.

In the JV contest, the two teams tied at one.

Elise Wagner from a pass from Paige Shuggarts for the only Husky score.
