St. Joseph boys pick up historical win

Saint Joseph’s travelled to Neumann Regional on Saturday, December 8th to play their second game in less than 24 hours.  The Varsity team got off to a slow start, falling behind 24-11 after one quarter, but some hot shooting from Brendan Scanlon in the second quarter and some feisty defense allowed the Wolves to claw back into it, tying the game 32-32 at the half.

In the second half, the game was back and forth, but RJ Marsh, who hit seven three-point field goals on the afternoon and scored a game high 29 points, was too much for Neumann in the end.  Saint Joseph’s came away with their first victory against Neumann in program history, 67-60.  Other high scorers include Brendan Scanlon 12 and Jack Mangene 10.

The Junior Varsity team fell 41-38.  Aidan Cross led the way with 14 points.
