State College girls headed to title tilt versus CM

Championship bound!!

The State College girls volleyball team earned their way into some familiar territory as it will be competing in the D6 Class 4A championship game after its 3-0 (25-19, 25-17 and 25-17) blanking of rival Altoona.

State will do battle with Central Mountain for the crown.

Leading the way for the Little Lions were Molly Thompson with 15 digs. Iris Archibald chipped in with 7 digs, while Claire Jordan added 8 to go along with her 1 block. Anna Witmer had another 2 blocks, Claire Jordan led the team with 9 kills and Sophie Wales pitched in with 6 kills.

Kate Lally had 12 assists and 4 aces on the evening while Sam Shala added 11 assists and 2 aces.
