State Farm and Continental Courts meet in Bellefonte Little League Action

In Saturday night prime time action, the Bellefonte Little League Pee Wee Division took center stage when Continental Courts battled State Farm.

It would be an offensive explosion as both teams combined to score 19 runs and 32 hits.

Every player in both line ups reached on a hit.

When the dust finally settled, State Farm took the contest 12-7.

State Farm got a 5-for-5 performance by Oli Lucas with three runs scored. Teammates Dillon Faust and Jack Heron finished his night with three hits apiece.

Brycen Mingle collected four RBIs.

Continental Courts was led by Blaine Casper’s 3-for-4 effort with 2RBIs and a run scored.

Cage Elliot also finished his day with two RBIs.

State Farm opened the contest plating two in the opening stanza.

Mingle scored on a Dillon Faust double to center. He later scored on a single by Jackson VonGunden, making it 2-0.

In the bottom of the inning, Continental Courts battled back to cut the State Farm lead in half in the bottom of the inning.

With one out, Tate Strohm singled into right and then scored via a sacrifice by Damyan Summers.

After a scoreless top of the second, Continental Courts took the lead posting four runs.

Blair Miller hustled out an infield single. He moved up on a sacrifice.

Blaine Casper reached on an RBI single up the middle.

Summers blasted his second hit of the night, scoring Miller.

Elliott brought in Summers and later scored, taking a 5-2 advantage.

In the third, State Farm knotted things at five.

Lucas led off the things with a single to left. Mingle followed with a single of his own.

Grayson Grove blasted a 2RBI double, scoring Lucas and Mingle.

Foust brought Grove home with an RBI single.

State Farm took back the lead with a 4-run fourth, making it an 9-5 advantage. Scoring in the inning was Beckett Albright, Lucas, Mingle and Grove.

In the bottom of the inning, Continental Courts picked up a run to cut things to a 2-run affair.

Giovanni Robinson scored on a Rugar Keith single, cutting it to a 9-6 contest.

In the top of the sixth, State Farm added four insurance runs to go ahead in the contest 12-6.

Continental Courts refused to go away without a fight as they played a run to make the final score, 12-7.
