One the girls side, Senior Emily Houtz led the Indians with a 140th place in a time of 25.51.  She was followed by Elizabeth Gaisior in 189th with a time of 31:35, Peyton Sheaffer in 190th with a time of 31:46, and Joceline Telfer in 194th with a time of 41:38.  Juniata coach Miller said “I thought the girls ran with a lot of heart on this difficult course.  Peyton Sheaffer ran 2:00 faster than last year on this course.  We are always striving to get better and that is nice to see.”  Olivia Haas from Blue Mountain won the girls AA race with a time of 18:42.
The Juniata Cross Country team will travel to Lehigh University on Friday, October 1st to compete in the prestigious Paul Short Invitational.
