Penns Valley XC fared well at Hershey

Today the Penns Valley Cross Country teams competed in the 15th Annual PIAA Foundation Meet at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Due to injury and illness the program did not enter into the team race, but 6 athletes competed individually.

For the girls. Anna Stitzer finished 3rd in 20:40,

Ayva Fetterolf was 104th in 26:47 and Ann-Marie McMurtrie was 127th in 27:54

On the boys’ side McClain Reamer was 52nd in 19:58,Vince Smith was 122nd in 22:02 and

Dilon Reilly was 150th in 23:47.

“For many of the athletes this was their first experience on the course that will be used later in the season for the State Championships. It is a very challenging course and the athletes rose to the occasion,” said Penns Valley coach Lynda Federinko. “Anna continues to run strong and she ran a remarkable race against some of the finest competition the State has to offer.”
