Strohecker posts five in MCs win over CD East; Boys fall in close contest
Mifflin County’s Aubrey Strohecker had a rhythm going Thursday night as the Huskies girls’ soccer team shut our Central Dauphin East 8-0.
Strohecker finished with five of her team’s eight goals.
Strohecker’s first goal came from an assist by Sarah Henry at 5:05.
Less than two minutes later, Strohecker was at it again. This time the assist came from Kate Bickhart at 6:50.
Minutes later Strohecker found herself with a hat trick on an another assist by Henry at 8:15.
MC’s Maddie Finkenbiner got her name in the scorebook, hitting a goal at 9:35, making it 4-0.
Morgan Breon thanks to an assist from Gabi Clark), upped the lead again at 16:13.
Strohecker then proceeded to hit the next two consecutive goals at 22:06 and 27:51.
Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Huskies was Sarah Henry at .67:31.
Mifflin County led in shots on goals by a 14-2 margin.
They also led in corners by a 2-0 margin.
Mifflin County’s goalie Bailey McNitt tallied two.
MC is back in action on Sept. 7 at Huntingdon.

Boys soccer
The Mifflin County boys team lost a close game to CD East 2-1 Thursday.
Leeum Noerr scored the lone goal while Reese Carter got the assist. Mifflin County goalie Conner Zimmerman had 11 saves.
In JV action, CD East topped Mifflin County 6-0.
