Treaster, Breon, Penns Valley rallies late to top BEA
BEA 2, Penns Valley 5
The Penns Valley baseball team had reason to celebrate as it defeated Mountain League foe, Bald Eagle Area Tuesday night.
Winning pitcher on the night was Aaron Tobias(5 inn) in relief of Colby Sweitzer.
The hard luck losing pitcher was Tyler Hilgar as he was in relief of Nick Maynard(6 inn, 8K’s, no earned runs).
“Nick Maynard pitched way too good of a game to lose, but PV decided they wanted it more in the end,” Bald Eagle Area coach James Gardner said. “Credit Penns Valley.”
BEA scored two in the 3rd, all on walks.
The Rams scored in the 4th on a hit and an Bald Eagle miscue.
Penns Valley dug deep as it scored four in the top of the 7th on hits by Cole Breon and Dylan Treaster.
