Huskies lose tough contest against Red Land
The Mifflin County baseball team played hard but fell Tuesday on the road to Red Land 6-4.
Brian Yetter led the Huskies at the plate with a 2-for-4 effort while Colby Bodtorf went 2-for-2, posting an RBI.
Teammate Noah Wright went 1-for-3 but tallied 2RBI.
Red Land jumped out early posting runs in the first and second inning to lead 2-0.
But Mifflin County came back in the the third to take the lead 3-2.
Bodtorf picked up the team’s first run as he singled home Max Oburn.
Wright took care of the other two runs as he brought in Yetter and Isaac Matthews on a 2RBI single.
Unfortunately, the lead wouldn’t last long as Red Land posted two runs in the bottom of the inning to lead 4-3.
Red Land would take the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth adding the two runs they would need.
But the Huskies went down fighting as the added a run in the sixth but it wasn’t enough as Red Land went on to the victory.
Tyreen Smalley took the loss on the night.
