Juniata Softball takes Line Mtn. to extras; falls late

The Juniata softball team battled hard Tuesday night against Line Mountain but couldn’t come out with the win, falling in eight innings 7-3.

It would be an 4-run eighth inning by Line Mountain that would seal the win.

Kylie Matter was strong in her effort against Juniata, striking out 11.

Abby Adair took the loss.

Laney Dowling has two hits on the night scoring a run and posting an RBI.

Maci Kreider had a double in the contest.

Juniata has five hits while Line Mountain posted 10.

The Indians took the first lead, posting three in the fourth.

But Line Mountain bounced back late in the game, scoring a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth, sending the game into extra innings.

Juniata falls to 1-2 on the season.
