Tuesday action- Penns Valley tops BEA in girls soccer

Penns Valley 2, Bald Eagle 1

In their first meeting of the season, the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team went toe-to-toe with a tough Penn’s Valley team, only to cone up a goal short, falling 3-0.
BEA goalie Charlee Harris led the game in saves with three while Penns Valley were only tested twice, saving one and having one go through.
Penns Valley also led in Shots on goals posting a 5-2 advantage.
Both goals by the Rams were collected by Hannah Montminy with two while Zoe McHenry had the lone Bald Eagle goal.
“The girls played very well tonight. They got a nice goal before the half. Zoey had a great chip shot over the keeper,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “We came out a little flat in the second half and it cost us, but over all not bad. We took away some good lessons from the game and will prepare for PO on Thursday.”
