Tyrone drops Lady Huskies in Monday showdown

It was a tough night for the MIfflin County girls basketball team as they went up against a very tough Mountain League team in Tyrone.

In the end, the Eagles would take the contest, 58-35.

Brianna Bodtorf led the Huskies offensively as she posted a 13-point effort.

Marissa Gingrich was next as she finished with 12.

Jaida Parker sizzled throughout the game, posting a game high 23-point effort.

Stephanie Ramsey rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11.

Tyrone took the opening period by a 19-11 score.

They continued their scoring effort in the second with a 21-point effort while holding the Lady Huskies to six.

Both teams tied in their scoring in the third, both scoring seven.

In the final stanza, they both tied as well with both tallying 11.

That would be all Tyrone would need to hold onto the victory.
