After its strong start to the 2024 season, the Juniata softball team had its toughest test on paper as they traveled to Susquenita to battle the Blackhawks on Saturday.

Both led their respective division in the TVAA, posting perfect undefeated records.

Juniata passed the test in flying colors as the Lady Indians’ offense electrified the diamond, winning 11-0 as pitcher Liz Gaisior tossed a no-hitter in the process.

Gaisior was untouchable in the circle, striking out 12 in the run shortened 5-innings contest.

Again, the Lady Indians’ offense lit up opposing pitcher. The Juniata squad finished with 15 hits in the game.

Alexea Frontz continues to sizzle at the plate going a perfect 4-for-4 posting 3RBIs and scoring twice in the victory.

Gaisior continues to be a tough out at the plate as well. Saturday, the pitching ace helped her own cause as she grinded out three hits.

Regan Lowery, Savannah Marshall and Sophia Smith all rounded out their day with two hits.

Early on, the two teams both remained scoreless until the Lady Indians broke the stalemate in the third with three runs.

Juniata built momentum off of that and continued its scoring in the fourth, posting seven runs to give their pitcher a big cushion.

That was all that the Juniata crew needed as they added one more run in the fifth en route to the 11-0 victory.
