World of Outlaws Set to Invade Port Royal Speedway for Two-Day Nittany Showdown

Port Royal Speedway- PORT ROYAL, Pa- (Oct 5, 2022) Port Royal Speedway returns to action this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series taking part in the Nittany Showdown!

The Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models (Friday) and the PennsValley MeatMarket PA Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars (Saturday ) are also on the card in a pair of invite only feature events as well!

Friday’s 25-lap event will pay $10,000 to win, while Saturday’s 30-lap finale will pay $15,000 to win!

This will be the ninth consecutive season that the Outlaws visit the Speed Palace, and the second visit of the season for the traveling invaders to take on the local PA Posse!

Kyle Larson scored the victory earlier this season in the July visit of the series and it was worth $20,000!

Other past winners in Outlaw competition at the track include Kerry Madsen, Spencer Bayston, Donny Schatz (4), Kyle Larson (3), Logan Schuchart, Brad Sweet, Ryan Smith, Jason Meyers, Brad Furr, Danny Wood, Doug Wolfgang, Don Kreitz Jr. and Lynn Paxton won the very first visit in July of 1979.

Along with the Outlaws and local contingent, it is expected that several other outsiders will make the trek to the Juniata County oval as well.

To go along with the PA Posse vs the Outlaws rivalry, the Outlaws points battle is very much up for grabs entering the weekend. Currently Sweet holds a 96-point advantage in the standings over David Gravel and a 140-point advantage over third-place Carson Macedo. Sheldon Haudenschild (-240) and Schatz (-244) make up the top five.

Schuchart ,James McFadden, Bayston, Jacob Allen and Brock Zearfoss complete the top ten.

Reserve Seats ($35) are still available for the weekend and are on sale through the World of Outlaws website.

Ticket prices are the same for both days! $30 Adult General Admission, Students (12-17) $20, Kids- Free, Pit Admission $40
