Altoona tops Central Mountain girls tennis in District 6 action

Today at the District 6 Team Semi Finals, the Altoona Mountain Lions girls tennis team topped a strong Central Mountain team 4-1 Monday.

Altoona finishes the season at a perfect 14-0 on the season while the Lady Wildcats finished with a 13-2 record.

In the first match, Altoona’s Isabella Frank defeated Carolina Carpenetti 6-1,6-1.

Altoona took the second singles match as well as Morgan Stevens defeated Olivia Anastos 6-0, 6-3.

Central Mountain’s Kati Kwiatek gave her team their first win as she defeated Emily Neil. 6-7,6-2 and 10-4.

In doubles competition, the Mountain Lions, Eve Hogan/Emma Skelly topped Caitlyn Dale/Ella Talbot 6-0,6-2.

Rounding out the doubles completion Altoona’s Brooklyn Rupert/Mya Crownover topped Claire Long/Zeta Blesh 6-1,6-2.
