Bald Eagle tops Penns Valley in close wrestling contest

The Bald Eagle Wrestling team continues its winning ways as it traveled to Penns Valley Wednesday evening, 40-29.

Starting at 152, Penns Valley’s David  Martin muscled out a close 4-3 decision over Tayten Yoder.

Penns Valley 160-pounder Micah Fetterolf pinned Cameron Dubbs at  1:28.

At 172, the Rams’ Cole  Felker busted through for a close 1-0 win over Caleb Close.

189: Austin  Moyle (BEAH) over   (PVAH) (For.) 215: Noah Foltz (BEAH) over Josh Spahr (PVAH) (Fall 0:32)

At 285: Bald Eagle Matthew Knepp (BEAH) picked up the late pin over Kollin  Brungart, winning at 4:45.

In the lightweight division at 106, Penns Valley’s Jack  Darlington won by a tech fall over Gavin Guenot 16-1 0:00.

Bald Eagle took the easy win at 113, Lucas Fye got his hand lifted for the easy win.

Bald Eagle captain Coen Bainey notched the win at 120 as he won by Major Decision over Colten Shunk 13-5.

126-pounder Carter  Homan put Penns Valley back on the scoreboard pinning Hunter Gardner at 3:49.

At 132, Bald Eagle’s Kevin Taylor pinned Nick  Cain at 1:04.

Bald Eagle Area sealed the deal at 138. Jeffre Pifer pinned Bella DuVall at 0:14.

Penns Valley captured the last match of the evening at 145. Ty Watson won by pinfall over Preston at 1:42.
