Bald Eagle volleyball sweeps Raiders

Two rivals met on the volleyball court Tuesday when Bald Eagle hosted Bellefonte in a Mountain League showdown.

The Eagles would take the contest, winners of three 25-14, 25-14 and 25-22.

In the Junior Varsity contest, Bald Eagle won 25-11 and 25-8.

The Eagles were led by Maddie Perry with  a season high 15 kills. Claire Andrews added 7, while Ava Stere tallied 6.

Olivia Boone had a team high 18 digs, while Maddie Perry and Megan Reese each added 14 digs.

For Bellefonte, Carlee Pepperman led the way with 3 aces, 7 kills and 5 digs.

Teammate Emalee Neff had 13 digs.

Madison Melius 12 assists, 8 digs 

and Carley Clarkson finished with 10 digs.

Reese had a team high 31 assists on the night.

At the service line, Bald Eagle’s  Madison Guenot, Maddie Perry, and Olivia Boone each had 4 aces.

The Eagles return to the court Thursday at Philipsburg-Osceola
