Bellefonte boys sweep season series over rival BEA

The offense continues to roll.

The surging Bellefonte boys soccer team had its offense rolling right along, topping rival Bald Eagle Area Wednesday night topping them 8-0.

“Tonight was a game where we got a lot of guys some playing time. Ball movement for us was very good.,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “Bald Eagle was playing a few guys short so it was nice for us to get up early and then get some of our younger guys on to get some experience and they played really well. Collin Sharp hit the back of the net three times in his 1st varsity game so I am excited for these young guys.”

Collin Sharp led the Red Raiders offensive punch with a second half hat trick.

The first half From last night was dominated by Bellefonte.

In the 1st half the Read Raiders scored at 15:44 Hayden Walker scored on an assist from Dan Persiko.

Minutes later at 18:00 Zack Copertino scores after a successful penalty kick.

At 20:44 Persiko got his name called as he picked up an assist from Hayden Walker to up the lead to 4-0.

Shea Chapman stood up next posting a goal at 37:10 thanks to an assist from Noah Gadsby.

2nd half

Leading off the second at 47:10, Walker led things off off an assist from Packet.

Then the game belonged to Sharp

At 58:39, Sharp hit his first goal.

He struck again at 67:37. Sharp picked up an assist Packer, upping the lead to 7-0.

Sharp ended his scoring at the 69:50 mark, clinching the victory

Bellefonte out shot Bald Eagle 29-1.
