Bellefonte continues to go at a sizzling pace Tuesday as it improves to 12-1 on the season as the Lady Raiders topped the Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties 8-2.

Lexi Rogers was again electrifying at the mound as she went the distance, tossing a 3-hitter while striking out 11 while limiting the Mounties’ bats to just two runs.

Taking the loss for Philipsburg-Osceola was Karissa Taylor as she also went seven, allowing eight hits and had four strike outs.

Top Hitters for Bellefonte, who posted eight hits were Lexi Rogers (1-1, 3BB, 3B, 1RBI), Tori Reichert (3-4, 2B, RBI), Madison Melius (2-4), Sara DeHaas (1-4, 2B, 2RBI) and Haylie Rimmey (1-3, 2B).

P-O got strong hitting performances from Paige Jarret (1-3), Megan Simpson (1-3, 2RBI) and Autumn Rickels (1-3).

Bellefonte is 12-1. Next game @ Central Mountain on 5/12 and home v Tyrone 5/14 (Sr Day)
