Bellefonte Softball takes it to PO in 5-0 shut out

The turnaround has begun.

It was quite a win Wednesday for the Bellefonte Lady Raiders as they faced the defending state Champion Philipsburg-Osceola softball team in a rematch from early in the season.

This time around it was all Lady Raiders as they defeated the Mounties 5-0.

Lexi Rogers kept the Lady Mounties at bay en route to the shut out. She held them to four hits.

Bellefonte had big innings in the fourth and then three in the top of the seventh.

The Lady Raiders roped eight hits in the crucial road win.

Rogers went the distance allowing four hits to go with seven strike outs.

Kam Harris took the loss as she also went the distance, allowing eight hits and eight strike outs.

Bellefonte was led offensively by Lily Gardner (2-for-4, double) Lexi Rogers (1-for-2 HR, RBI), Sara DeHaas 2-for-4,2 RBI), Emily Pugh (1-for-4) and Makenna Port 2-for-3 1 RBI).

The Lady Raiders are back in action Thursday at home.
