BELLEFONTE – No rust on their bats!

Despite Mother Nature putting the Red Raiders baseball team’s schedule temporarily on hold, it didn’t seem to have an effect on the offense Saturday afternoon.

Bellefonte welcomed in Huntingdon for a Saturday match up at Governor’s Park.

Lead off hitter Trevor Johnson posted a 3-hit night scoring five times and finishing 2RBIs in the Red Raiders 15-7 victory over the Bearcats.

Also notching a game-high 3-hit night for Bellefonte were Peyton Vancas , Braedyn Kormanic and Ryan Fraley.

Vancas also was the winner pitcher for the Red Raiders, going 4-innings allowing four runs on nine hits in his outing.

Rounding out the multiple hitters were Levi Purnell and Parker Capperelle.

Despite trailing 1-0 after one, the Red Raiders bounced back to outscore Huntingdon 7-0 in two complete innings.

With the exception of the third inning, the Red Raiders’ bats outscored the Bearcats in every inning en route to the nine-run victory.
