East Juniata boys dominate Newport

It was a great night to be a Tiger.

The East Juniata boys basketball team sizzled from the field as they took it to Newport 70-37.

Leading the way offensively for East Juniata was Xavier Clement as he notched a game-high 18-point performance while teammates Tanner Barth and Billy Dressler both with 15.

Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Evan Reichenbach finishing with ten.

In the first, East Juniata pounded out 16-hard fought points while his team rallied around him and held the Buffalo to only 10.

Things kept bouncing the Tigers’ way as they continued to outscore Newport 13-5.

Going into the half, the Tigers took a 29-16 lead.

In the second half, the game belonged to East Juniata outscoring the Buffalo 41-22 lead.

In the end, the Tigers picked up the wi as it dominated Juniata rockets 70-35.
