East Juniata girls defensive efforts lifts them to win over Millersburg

On Saturday, the normally high scoring East Juniata girls soccer team showed that its defense is pretty tough as well posting a 3-1 victory over Millersburg in TVL action.

Brianna Henry led off the scoring for East Juniata as she was assisted by Leah Sankey at 10:59.

Amara Brubaker followed with a goal as she was assisted by Sankey at 46:05.

Kierstyn Fogle, who is leading Juniata County in overall goals of 125 for both boys and girls, scored when she was assisted by Sankey at 49:09.

The Lady Tigers led in shots on goals by an 8-7 margin while Millersburg led in keepers’ saves 7-6.

East Juniata Improved to 5-0 in TVL action and 5-1 overall

 EJ’s next game is Monday against Halifax.
