East Juniata girls open season posting 13-goal win over Millersburg

The East Juniata girls soccer team picked up where they left off from last season as they took care of Tri-Valley League opponent Millersburg 13-0.

Thea Neimond had a huge afternoon as she went for a 4-goal evening and finished with three assists.

Teammate Kierstyn Fogle was just a hot on the night also finishing with a hat trick and an assist.

East Juniata finished with 22 shots  on goal and three corners.

Tiger goalkeeper Brianna Henry saved three.

“This was a good start to the season,” said East Juniata Coach Valeria Dressler. “The girls are recognizing what we need to work on and improving more and more everyday.”

Millersburg managed just three shots the entire game.

Neimond posted the first goal on an unassisted goal at 5:44.

Fogle hit her first goal unassisted at 8:31.

Fogle posted goal number two at the 24:11 mark.

Neimond thanks to an assist by Madison McDonald made it 4-0 at 24:52.

Less than a minute later, Neimond captured a hat trick on an unassisted goal at 25:43.

Neimond picked up her last goal of the night when she was assisted by Fogle at 27:29.

Madison McDonald got her name into the score column on an unassisted shot at 36:57.

Alyssa Robinson thanks to an  assist by Neimond added her name as well at 37:46.

Fogle scored her last goal of the game off an assist by Cypress Feltman at 39:30.

Clarye Guyer kept the East Juniata score coming as she also broke free and hit an unassisted goal at 64:05.

Marisa Coudriet was next on the score card when she was assisted by Neimond at 68:30.

Hailey Wileman upped the Tigers lead to 12 when she hit nothing but net assisted by Neimond at the 74:30 mark.

Rounding out the scorers was Paris Feltman when she scored on an unassisted goal at the 77:00 mark.

 The Tigers Overall record is 1-0-0

and it’s TVLeague record is 1-0.

 Next game up for East Juniata is Thursday 9-5-19with Bloomsburg.
