Bald Eagle girls take care of Bellefonte in soccer action

In their first rivalry game of the year, the Bald Eagle Lady Eagles defeated Bellefonte 4-1.

Bald Eagle Area lead in shots on goal by a 20-9 margin while holding the advantage of shots on target 15-10.

“The girls played great possession ball tonight. Our defense really controlled their forwards. Grace Wagner’s marking in the second half was outstanding,” said Bald Eagle Area Coach Jared Moore. “Falen McHenry’s performance was stellar. She really took it to another level with her hard work and it paid off with a hat trick. It was an excellent way to start off the season.”

Eagles goalie, Rachel Veneziano had nine saves.

Bellefonte’s Mallory Smith scored the first goal of the game, putting her team ahead at the 6:35 mark.

Bald Eagles’ Falen McHenry tied things on an unassisted goal at 8:12she was followed by an Addison Proctor goal off of an assist by Sierra Surovec at 18:48,

From there McHenry would finish things out with two goals to ice things at 4-1.

 BEA is 1-0 in the Mountain League, and 1-0 overall.

In JV Action, Bald Eagle won 6-0.
