Juniata girls fall to tough Montoursville team in OT thriller

It was another close game for the Lady Indians.

In another overtime contest, the Juniata girls were not as fortunate as they were in a recent double overtime contest, falling to Montoursville 47-44.

Leading the way for the Indians was   Mahlin Kint with 16 points.

Teammate Myra Rush finished with 10.

In the first, Juniata outscored Montoursville 13-6. Rush was automatic from the 3-point line posting three.

Montoursville took the second period by an 8-6 margin.

However, the Lady Indians led 19-14.

Out of the intermission, Juniata got back on track by outscoring their opponent 11-9.

But a 14-point fourth quarter by Montoursville while holding Juniata to seven, sent the game into overtime.

In the overtime period, Montoursville was just too much as they took the contest by three.
