Mifflin County boys fall to Lewisburg by 10

They refuse to give up! 

As they still search for their first win if the season, the effort is there for the Mifflin County boys basketball team, despite losing Thursday falling to Lewisburg 58-48.

The main factor in this contest was that Lewisburg shot 40 foul shots compared to Mifflin County shooting nine foul shots.

Noah Wight led the scoring with a 17-point effort.

Teammate Xavier Vega followed up with a strong 11-point performance.

On a positive not in the JV final OT: MC 60 Lewisburg 53 in overtime..

After a slow first half that had Mifflin County score just 13, the Huskies came out and outscored Lewisburg 35-31. 

In the third, Mifflin County got seven from Vega to pace the “Purple and Black Attack”.

In the final stanza, Wright exploded for 10 points in the quarter.

But it was too little too late as Lewisburg went on for the victory.

In the JV contest, the Huskies defeated Lewisburg 60-53 in an Overtime thriller.

JV was lead by Mark Shilling Jr. with 20 points.
