Juniata tennis Crowned District 6 title over Westmont Hilltop

Crown them the champs!

The Juniata tennis team has blazed a historical path for its program this season.

With dominating its opponents through the regular season as well as having both its doubles teams do battle in the District 6 Class AA championship, the team added to its resume Wednesday as it capped off the D6 season by capturing the team title by topping Westmont-Hilltop 5-0.

In the opening contest, Max Lauver topped Charlie Snee 6-2 and 6-1.

Coming on strong in number two singles, Adam French defeated Cael Long 6-1 and 6-0.

Gavin Kint rounded out singles action with a victory over Taha Al-Ubaidi, 6-0 and 6-3.

In doubles action, Emmett Hibbs and Jack Strawser continued the Indians domination defeating David Assad and Nathaniel O’Stafy, 6-2 and 6-2.

Picking up the final win of the night, the duo of Zach Marshall and Xane Whitesel sailed past Reilly Malcom and Elijah Ellsworth, officially crowning the Indians as the champs of District 6.
