Juniata Wrestlers break even Juniata Tri-Meet

The Juniata wrestling team went 1-1 in the Juniata Tri-Meet on Saturday.

Juniata notched a 41.0-6.0 victory over host Columbia Montour Avts.

At 106, Juniata’s Casey Smith won by major decision over Brady Moyer 9-0.

There was a double forfeit at 113.

120-pounder Taylor Smith from Juniata won a 5-2 decision over Coleton Eckroth (CMA).

At 132, the Indians’ Cameron Sweigart pinned Hunter Thomas at 1:20.

138 pounder,Tye Jabs won by a 15-3 major decision over Columbia Montoursville’s Jackson Reed.

At 145, the match had its second Double Forfeit.

Juniata’s Josh Bomberger wasted little time at 152 as he pinned Kaleb Henrie at 0:17.

160-pounder Noe Montesinos gave the Indians’ an easy win by forfeit.

Again there was a Double Forfeit at 172.

At 189, Juniata’s Dominik Rowles also picked up a win by forfeit.

At 215, there was a final Double Forfeit.

Rounding out the match at 285, Juniata’s Jonathan Kauffman pinned Broddrick Mayernick at 0:32.

In the second match of the afternoon, the Indians fell to Altoona Area.

Altoona Area took the match over Juniata 57.0-12.0.

Winners for Juniata were.

At 106, Juniata’s Casey Smith pinned Dillon Degennaro by Fall 0:39.

Rounding out the match for Juniata at 113 Taylor Smith pinned Eli Wisor at  1:27.
