Lady Indians outlast TVL contest versus Halifax

Juniata 35, Halifax 30
The Juniata girls basketball team battled Halifax Friday against Tri-Valley League foe Halifax.
In a tough defensive contest, the Indians were able to outlast Halifax 35-30.
Juniata was led Ava Shearer’s 13-point effort.
Despite being outscored 10-4 in the first, the Indians came rallying back in the second, clamping down to give themselves a 11-1 stanza.
When the two teams went into the overtime, Juniata led 15-11.
Juniata used that as the turning point as it was able to keep the lead, outscoring Halifax in the second half en route the victory.
