Lady Indians tops Saint Joseph’s Academy

The Juniata girls basketball team improved to 3-1 on the season as they defeated Saint Joseph’s 41-12 Friday night.

Ava Shearer led the way to the victory with a 13-point effort.

Haley Mummah finished with 12 and was a strong  force on defensive end of the court.

Regan Lowrey finished up the high scorers posting six in the victory.

Juniata opened the contest posting a 10-2 advantage.

The Indians offense continued to shine as the posted a 11-4 edge as Juniata went into the intermission leading 21-6.

Offensively, the Juniata offense exploded for 16 in the third.

Defensively, the Lady Indians allowed only six points in the second half en route to the victory.

Next up the Juniata is Southern Huntingdon at Three Springs.
