MC 15s take first game of Eastern regionals

SCRANTON –

One down.

The Mifflin County 15-year old All-Stars had a successful opening round victory Thursday against a tough Frederick County team in the Babe Ruth Eastern Regionals, winning in convincing fashion 10-0 in five innings.

Leading the way for Mifflin County was Tucker Gill who tallied two hits in the contest. He also sparked the team with two RBIs.

Ryan Hine followed with a hit of his own.

Ryan Kanagy led the team in the RBI department posting three.

Rounding out the RBI leaders was Garrett Leitzel with one.

Xavier Smith showed his patience at the plate walking twice on the afternoon.

On the mound, Mifflin County got strong outings from Landon Eichhorn and Hine.

The team will be in action Friday in Scranton.
