MC Stars Nabs Win Over 2023 Curwensville Despite Early 3-Run Inning

The Curwensville 12U All-Stars scored three runs in the fifth inning, but the fiesty group from MIfflin County still won 14-5 on Monday.

Curwensville’s  big inning was driven by singles

Curwensville  got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run.

In the bottom of the second inning,

Mifflin County tied things up at two. Addisyn Velez grounded out, scoring one run.

The MC 12u’s pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Emily Dickson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Sarah Erb homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Mifflin County tallied five runs in the fifth inning. Addisyn Velez, Taryn Hubler, Kayla Velez and Emily Dickson powered the big inning with RBIs.

Addisyn Velez led the MIfflin County  to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The righty lasted five innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out four. Grace Napikoski threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

MC socked one home run on the day. Sarah Erb had a homer in the third inning.

2023 Miffco 12u Softball All Stars totaled 11 hits in the game. Gracelyn Rider, Emily Dickson and Grayce Napikoski all had multiple hits for the MIfflin County All-Stars. Grayce Napikoski, Emily Dickson, and Gracelyn Rider each collected two hits to lead the MC 12s.

MC 12U 🥎 Allstars 2-0 in district play. 14-5 win over Curwensville tonight. Full names of players for MC in bold are Addisyn Velez, Emily Dickson, Sarah Erb, Taryn Hubler, Kayla Velez, Grayce Napikoski and Gracelyn Rider.
