Mifflin County 12s top rival State College in all-star action

The MIfflin County 12U Softball All Stars snagged a late lead and defeated the State College All-Stars team 15-9 on Friday.

The game was tied at nine with MIfflin County batting in the top of the sixth when Grayce Napikoski tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Napikoski led MIfflin County to victory by driving in four runs. Rider went 1-for-2 at the plate. Napikoski drove in runs on a walk in the fifth and a triple in the sixth.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, State College tied things up at nine.

Brenna Benny, Grayce Napikoski, Chelsea Anewalt, Gracelyn Rider and Avaleigh Haubert each had RBls in the big inning.

Dickson went 3-for-3 on the night.

Napikoski got the win for MC. Napikoski surrendered eight runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out seven. Addisyn Velez threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
