Mifflin County baseball takes opening game against Chambersburg

The MIfflin County baseball team took the first game of a Tuesday double header defeating Chambersburg 4-1.

Picking up the win for the Huskies was Aidan Attivo while teammate Jacob Ross brought home the save in clutch time.

Leading the offense for the Huskies was Ryan Kanagy who went 2-for-3 with 3RBIs along with a round tripper. Farrell Souders also posted two hits was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Picking up an RBI to add to Kanagy’s  was Tucker Gill who went 1-for-2. MIfflin County scattered seven hits in the win.

The Huskies posted all four runs in the fourth.

Madden Weaver led off the fourth with a walk. He moved up second on a wild pitch and moved to third via a sacrifice fly by Hayden Yoder.

Gill blasted a single into right field bringing home Weaver.

Souders kept the inning going with a single of their own.

Kanagy blasted a three-run shot, upping the MIfflin County lead to 4-0.

Chambersburg added a run in the seventh but the Huskies shut it down from there, taking home the victory.
