Mifflin County matmen dominates Cedar Cliff
LEWISTOWN – It was another convincing win for the very dangerous MIfflin County high school wrestling team Tuesday as it honored its seniors with a 57-12 victory over Cedar Cliff.
The Huskies got the night started out on a good note at 215. Anson Wagner managed a pinfall over Alexander Sanders at 3:35.
In the heavyweight division at 285 Jaxson Pupo notched the second pinfall for the Huskies as he took care of Jacob Sheaffer by pin at 1:33.
Cedar Cliff picked up its first win at 106. Gabe Lewis pinned Styers Oden at 3:02.
Crafty veteran Nic Allison made it 3-of-4 as the 113-pounded picked up the first period pinfall over Keegan Zeigler at 1:17)
Mifflin County’s 120-pounder Hunter Johnson added his name to the pin list, taking down Zach Cutshall at 1:31.
Cedar Cliff bounced back at notched a win at 126. Gunner Heffelfinger outmuscled Colby Seiler by a 8-5 decision.
Things flipped back to the Huskies favor once again at 132. Blake Aumiller Pinned Liam Gannon at 0:55.
At 138, Cedar Cliff’s Aidan Bachman survived a close 7-5 victory over Jacob Cunningham
At 145,Deakon Schaeffer (MCH) over Evan Zeigler (CCH) (Fall 2:40) 152: Parker Kearns (MCH) over Max Haas (CCH) (Dec 2-0)
At 160, MIfflin County’s Kyler Everly (MCH) pinned Erik Schriver at 1:13.
172-pounder Avery Aurand also notched another pin for the Huskies. He pinned Mike Jones at 3:09.
Trey Shoemaker had quite the fast pinfall as he pinned Ben Myers at 0:26 at 189 pounds.
