Penn’s Valley blanks PO

Penns Valley vs Philipsburg-Osceola game

SPRING MILLS – The Penns Valley girls soccer team went up against Mountain League rival Philipsburg-Osceola Monday night and had a strong showing offensively and defensively. In the end the Rams took home the 6-0 victory.
Penn’s Valley Danae Hurd got the scoring started thanks to an assist by Sydney Riegel at the 22:00 mark.
Less than a minute later Penns Valley was back on the scoreboard when Maria Lovallo got an assist by Katie Martell at the 22:50 mark to increase the lead to 2-0.
Martell got into the action just minutes later as she scored on a Penalty Kick to add more lead-way for Penn’s Valley.
Keira Whitman made it 4-0 when she picked up a pass from Hannah Montmini. Emma Lachat and Hannah Montminy rounded out the scoring to give the Rans the victory.
Penn’s Valley led in the shots on goal department 32-7.
Penns Valley goalies Dayna Brown and Morgan Hurd collected four saves and three saves, respectively. PO’s Jayde Burge collected 19.
