PO golfers top Mountain League battle

On Thursday, the Mountain League battle took place on the links as

Bellefonte, Tyrone, Penns Valley, Bald Eagle Area, Central, Clearfield and Philipsburg-Osceola all battled for first.

In the end it would be the Mounties that came out on top, posting a 308.

Leading the way were Brandon Singer 74, Chad Frank 76, Ky Bender 78, Keegan Soltis 80, Jake Vaux 104 and Tyler Doyle 87.

Tyrone was next with a 333.

Huntingdon finished third with a 362.

Posting top scores were Jackson Ritchey 89, Andean Suchan 88, Rece Ritchey 93, Ryan Marshall 92, Brady Handy 97 and Levi Briggs 98.

Central was next in line with a 367.

Bellefonte was just two off from the Bearcats topping out at 369.

Joseph Bruni 91, Keith Hamilton 88, Gunner Fravel 101, Gavin Fravel 90, Cooper Funk 118, Caleb Stock 100 finished as tops on their squad.

Clearfield finished with a 413.

Bald Eagle was next finishing at 434.

Leading scorers were Luke Barnhart 88, Weston Eppley 110, Noah Fultz 123, Wyatt McClain 113, Ayden Jodon 131 and Sutton Thompson 127.

Rounding out the competitors was Penns Valley’s 455.

Leading the way were Logan Jones 92, Justin Darlington 108, Lydia Boeckel 114 and Richie Butler 141.
