Reichert’s bat leads Lady Raiders to victory

Reichert was clutch under pressure.

The Lady Raiders softball team pulled it out in the clutch Tuesday in its game against Clearfield, winning 2-1.

Tori Reichert hit the go ahead solo HR in the top of the 6th, after Clearfield had tied the game in the 5th. 

From there the defense took over a shut down the Bison in their final at bats.

It was a pitcher’s duel as the two teams combined for seven hits in the Bellefonte 2-1 win.

Lexi Rogers picked up the win as she went the distance, allowing four hits, one earned run and 16 strikeouts.

Losing pitcher was Emma Hipps who also went all seven, giving up only three hits and striking out 17.

Offensive leaders for the Lady Raiders were Lily Gardner (1-3, 2B, 1R, Stolen Base), Hanna Lauck (1-3) and Tori Reichert (1-2, HR, RBI, 1R).

Clearfield was led by Ruby Singleton (2-4), Olivia Bender (1-3) and Lauren Ressler (1-4).

Bellefonte (4-1) hosts Philipsburg-Osceola on Friday 4/16.
