Royer leads MC XC at Foundation Invitational

The Mifflin County Boys Cross Country traveled to Hershey Saturday to compete in the 15th PIAA Foundation XC Invitational at the Parkview XC course. The state championship are hosted here and draws competition from across Pennsylvania. Chris Royer lead MC to a 25th place finish out of 34 teams.

Christopher Royer finished with an 18:33.

In 122, teammate Caden Bell finished with a 19:10.

Other finishers were Cody Fultz (19:13), Conrad Coffey (19:32), Luke Breneman (20:01), Dominic Reed (20:13) and Maxwell Laudermilch (21:03).

“It was a great opportunity to race with many of the best teams in Pennsylvania. At the halfway point the team was in 27th place and moved up two positions during the last 2500 meters,” said Mifflin County coach Greg Loht. “The course was challenging and had several soggy spots due to our recent rains. The boys stayed focused and finished strong”

In the JV Race Styers Oden finished with a  22:39 good for a 120th finish.
