The Lady Raiders explode for 21-2 victory over Bellwood-Antis

Busting out the bats!!

The Bellefonte softball team’s bats Tuesday were hitting white-hot as they exploded for a 21-2 victory over Bellwood-Antis in a 4-inning road contest.

Leading the sizzling offensive charge was Sienna Barnhart who blasted two home runs in the contest while posting 2RBIs and three runs scored. Barnhart finished with two hits in the night as well.

Jaylee Lose finished with a game-high three hits and three runs scored.

Besides Barnhart, Bellefonte had three others finish with two hits each. They were; Grace Novitsky, Taylor Brown and Madison Ripka.

All in all, the Lady Raiders punched out a total of 14 hits on the afternoon.

Picking up the win in the circle was Carley Clarkson. Clarkson went the complete four innings allowing two runs on three hits and a strikeout.

After a scoreless first for Bellefonte, it would be a 9-run second inning that put the game on ice for the Lady Raiders.

Bellefonte added two more in the third and then capped the night off with a 10-run scoring spurt in the fourth.
