Altoona’s Big first half leads to win over MC girls

The Mifflin County had another tough outing as they were defeated by an experienced Altoona team, falling 68-41 Tuesday night.

Leading the way offensively was Brianna Bodtorf with 16.

Altoona got 16 from Bridgid Fox.

Also picking up double-digit scoring for the Mountain Lions were Stevie Webber with 11 and Adilynn Cherry with 12.

Altoona led things after one, posting 21 while holding the Huskies to five.

The Mountain Lions continued to roll, posting 17 while keeping Mifflin County to only six.

Going into the half, Altoona held a 38-11 advantage.

In the second half, Mifflin County matched the Mountain Lions shot for shot, both scoring 30 in the half.

But Mifflin County was not able to make the comeback.
